Dental Implants

Dental implants are changing the way people live. They are designed to provide a foundation for replacement teeth which look, feel, and function like your original teeth. Thanks to dental implants, a person who has lost teeth will regain the ability to eat virtually anything. Most importantly, patients can smile with confidence knowing their teeth appear natural, facial structure is preserved, and bone deterioration is prevented.

Dental Implant Surgery

Implants are placed beneath the surface of the gums, gradually bonding with the jawbone. They are left undisturbed for three to six months, during which time patients can wear temporary teeth and eat a soft diet while your new replacement teeth are being made. After the implant has bonded to the jawbone, the implants are uncovered. Small posts are attached to the implants that act as anchors for the artificial teeth. The entire process usually takes six to eight months with minimal disruption to daily life.
