Low Level Laser

Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) is an innovative technology utilizing a wavelength of light from near infra-red spectrum (800-950).  The technology has been approved by FDA and found especially useful in management of carpel tunnel syndrome, arthritis, wound care, and especially pain management.  In our office, by use of this technology, we have been able to significantly improve the quality of our patients’ life, decrease the need for invasive and often expensive procedure and requirement for opiates. LLLT is completely noninvasive and painless and usually requires 5 to 15 treatments lasting for 15 to 30 minutes per session.  It is also very cost effective considering therapeutic effectiveness and savings through smaller number of procedures and of medications.

Laser precaution protocol was followed including protective glasses for the patient and staff.  Laser probe is positioned at near skin contact over affected areas/Wavelength of 905nm has been used with a pulse frequency of 15hz and average power of 300mW.
